Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Quality Consultant to lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives and drive data quality excellence. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, governance leadership, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the integrity, consistency, and usability of critical business data assets.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Collibra, healthcare data management, and modern cloud-based data platforms. You will play a key role in establishing governance frameworks, implementing data quality controls, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Data Governance
  • Administer and manage Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud, including Data Catalog, Business Glossary, and Data Lineage.
  • Lead data governance initiatives and facilitate governance council meetings with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational data management requirements.
  • Drive adoption of data governance best practices and promote a data quality-focused culture across teams.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve governance challenges and improve data stewardship processes.
  • Data Quality
  • Design, implement, and monitor automated data quality rules and controls.
  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies, duplicates, inconsistencies, and root-cause issues.
  • Establish and track key data quality metrics, including Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Validity, and Uniqueness.
  • Partner with technical teams to remediate data quality issues across data pipelines and platforms.
  • Support data standardization and reconciliation initiatives across critical business domains.
  • Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Quality.
  • Extensive experience within the Healthcare industry.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare payer data, including claims, eligibility, provider, and related data domains.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience performing complex data analysis and profiling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures and modern data management practices.
  • Preferred Technical Skills
  • Collibra Data Quality (or comparable data quality platforms)
  • Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory)
  • Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and notebooks
  • Data Cataloging, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage
  • Data Governance Frameworks and Regulatory Compliance
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly recommendations.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience influencing senior leadership and driving organizational change.
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or equivalent professional experience.
