Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Quality Consultant to lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives and drive data quality excellence. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, governance leadership, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the integrity, consistency, and usability of critical business data assets.
- The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Collibra, healthcare data management, and modern cloud-based data platforms. You will play a key role in establishing governance frameworks, implementing data quality controls, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance
- Administer and manage Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud, including Data Catalog, Business Glossary, and Data Lineage.
- Lead data governance initiatives and facilitate governance council meetings with business and technology stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational data management requirements.
- Drive adoption of data governance best practices and promote a data quality-focused culture across teams.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve governance challenges and improve data stewardship processes.
- Data Quality
- Design, implement, and monitor automated data quality rules and controls.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies, duplicates, inconsistencies, and root-cause issues.
- Establish and track key data quality metrics, including Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Validity, and Uniqueness.
- Partner with technical teams to remediate data quality issues across data pipelines and platforms.
- Support data standardization and reconciliation initiatives across critical business domains.
- Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Quality.
- Extensive experience within the Healthcare industry.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality solutions.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare payer data, including claims, eligibility, provider, and related data domains.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience performing complex data analysis and profiling.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures and modern data management practices.
- Preferred Technical Skills
- Collibra Data Quality (or comparable data quality platforms)
- Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory)
- Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and notebooks
- Data Cataloging, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage
- Data Governance Frameworks and Regulatory Compliance
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly recommendations.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience influencing senior leadership and driving organizational change.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or equivalent professional experience.
