We're looking for a hands-on Data & AI Engineering Manager to lead a small, highly technical engineering team while helping shape the future of our data platform. This is a player/coach role where you'll split your time between technical leadership, architecture, and mentoring a distributed team of engineers in the U.S. and India.

• Job Details
• Lead and mentor a team of 2-4 Data Engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and day-to-day leadership.
• Design and evolve the company's enterprise data architecture, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and built for long-term growth.
• Build and optimize modern data pipelines that move data reliably across multiple business systems.
• Drive the organization's migration and adoption of Microsoft Fabric while improving existing Azure-based data solutions.
• Partner closely with AI engineers and business leaders to deliver the data infrastructure needed for analytics and AI initiatives.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance around data quality, modeling, documentation, and deployment.
• Make architectural decisions around data modeling, medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), semantic models, and platform scalability.
• Lead sprint planning, project execution, and delivery using Azure DevOps while balancing multiple priorities.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency across the data platform.
• What We're Looking For
• Experience leading Data Engineering teams in a technical management or lead capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience building modern data platforms in Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with SQL and modern data engineering technologies.
• Knowledge of medallion architecture, semantic modeling, and enterprise data governance.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on technical problem solving.
