## About the Role

Lumenalta is seeking a Senior-Level Data Engineer to join its remote engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions for enterprise clients.

You will work extensively with large and complex datasets, developing robust ETL pipelines and data processing solutions using Python, SQL, PySpark, AWS, and Databricks. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to develop reliable data solutions that support real-world business objectives.

## Responsibilities

• * Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and data processing pipelines.
• * Build robust data pipelines from the ground up.
• * Process and analyze large, complex datasets using Python and SQL.
• * Develop distributed data processing solutions using PySpark.
• * Work extensively with Databricks to build and manage modern data solutions.
• * Utilize AWS cloud services to support data engineering workflows.
• * Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• * Ensure data solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• * Collaborate with engineering and consulting teams to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.
• * Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement effective technical solutions.
• * Contribute to data architecture and engineering best practices.

## Required Qualifications

• * 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• * Strong proficiency in Python.
• * Advanced SQL skills and experience working with raw SQL queries.
• * Hands-on experience with PySpark.
• * Professional experience working with AWS cloud services.
• * Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
• * Experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines.
• * Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• * Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• * Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.

## Remote Work Requirement

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in a region that aligns with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to support effective collaboration with clients and distributed teams.

## Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
