About The Role

CoverMyMeds is seeking a Specialist, Data Engineering to join our Data Engineering team. Our Data Engineering team is a highly technical group of results-driven Engineers, Analysts, and Architects focused on providing high-quality, repeatable, and scalable data solutions to both internal and external clients. The work of this team plays a crucial role in enabling healthcare providers and patients to access the medicines they need to live healthier lives. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions that support analytics, reporting, and operational needs across the organization.

This role requires a hands-on approach with strong expertise in Databricks, experience working with large-scale datasets, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. You will contribute to delivering high-quality data solutions, support data governance initiatives, and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous growth and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of dedicated experience in Data Engineering roles.
  • Proven experience in building and supporting data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks in a production environment.
  • Strong SQL development skills.
  • Experience working with Azure-based data services.
  • Knowledge of supporting reporting, analytics, systems integration, and data governance initiatives.
  • Expertise in conceptual and logical data modeling.
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
  • Create and optimize data ingestion and integration processes from various structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Develop data transformations using SQL, Databricks, and Azure technologies to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support batch and real-time data processing solutions to meet diverse business requirements.
  • Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of data assets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance, reliability, and data quality.
  • Develop conceptual and logical data models aligned with business reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support data governance initiatives through documentation, standardization, and quality control measures.
  • Partner with analytics, application development, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices within the team.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
