About The Role

CoverMyMeds is seeking a Specialist, Data Engineering to join our Data Engineering team. Our Data Engineering Team is a highly technical group of results-driven Engineers, Analysts, and Architects focused on providing our internal and external clients with high-quality, repeatable, and scalable data solutions. The work of this team ultimately helps get more people the medicine they need to live healthier lives. This role requires a hands-on Data Engineer capable of quickly contributing to the design, development, and support of scalable data pipelines and data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks, experience working with large-scale datasets, and the ability to effectively partner with both business and technical stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions, supporting analytics and reporting initiatives, and fostering a collaborative team environment while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a dedicated Data Engineering role.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • Strong experience with Databricks in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL development.
  • Experience working with Azure-based data services.
  • Supporting reporting, analytics, systems integration, and data governance initiatives.
  • Expertise in conceptual and logical data modeling.
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
  • Develop data ingestion and integration processes from diverse structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Create and optimize data transformations utilizing SQL, Databricks, and Azure technologies.
  • Support both batch and real-time data processing solutions.
  • Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure data trustworthiness and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance, reliability, and data quality.
  • Develop conceptual and logical data models based on business reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Work with application development teams to understand source systems and build efficient data flows into enterprise environments.
  • Support data governance initiatives through standardization, documentation, and quality controls.
  • Partner with Data Systems Analysts, Analytics teams, and Technology groups to address business problems with data solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to enhance solution delivery.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
