Data Engineer

2. About the Opportunity:

The Data Engineer 1 role focuses on building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports analytics, machine learning, and business decision-making within the organization. This entry-level position contributes to the development and execution of data pipelines and tasks under guidance, playing a key part in enabling data-driven insights and operational efficiency.

3. Responsibilities:

• • Develop and execute defined data engineering tasks such as creating and modifying data models and ingestion scripts
• • Manage data flow within the organization''s lakehouse architecture
• • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot data jobs and workflows
• • Write Python and SQL code adhering to team standards
• • Conduct code reviews and implement unit tests
• • Own assigned pipeline tasks and communicate progress and blockers
• • Participate actively in team discussions and agile rituals
• • Document technical processes and share knowledge
• • Collaborate with analytics, machine learning engineering, and product teams to optimize data usage

4. Requirements:

• • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
• • Proficiency in Python and SQL
• • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• • Understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT and data pipelines
• • Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $140,000, dependent on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education
