About the Opportunity:

The Data Engineer, Data Platform develops and operates data capabilities that enable teams to access reliable, well-structured, and usable information. This role builds ingestion pipelines, transformations, data models, and curated data products primarily using Snowflake and dbt. The position supports analytics and AI initiatives by ensuring data availability, quality, governance, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • • Build and maintain batch and low-latency data ingestion pipelines from enterprise systems, APIs, and approved data sources.
  • • Develop SQL and Python solutions for data collection, validation, transformation, and publication.
  • • Use Snowflake and dbt to build reliable transformations, reusable data models, and curated datasets.
  • • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable data models and engineering solutions.
  • • Collaborate with Analytics, AI, and business teams to provide governed, documented, and reliable data access.
  • • Apply data quality checks and maintain metadata, lineage, and usage documentation.
  • • Implement secure access controls in coordination with governance and security teams.
  • • Build automated testing and deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • • Develop and verify automated tests to maintain software and data quality.
  • • Utilize AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including code generation, testing, documentation, and code review.
  • • Create and maintain technical documentation and data product documentation.
  • • Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot production issues, and support operational reliability.
  • • Optimize Snowflake workloads to improve performance and cost efficiency.
  • • Support data curation for shared business contexts and AI use cases.
  • • Participate in Agile activities including backlog refinement, code reviews, and iterative delivery.
  • • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, automation, and data engineering standards.

Requirements:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • • Strong proficiency in production-quality SQL and Python.
  • • Experience developing cloud-based data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
  • • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, or similar cloud data warehouse and transformation technologies.
  • • Understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL processes, pipeline orchestration, and API integration.
  • • Experience with software engineering practices including source control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
  • • Ability to follow AI-driven software development lifecycle processes and practices.
  • • Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, access control, and data privacy principles.
  • • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, serverless functions, cloud storage, or other cloud-native data engineering technologies.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
