About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Community. This community acts as the connective tissue within our organization, aligning data strategies, sharing best practices, and accelerating innovation across various product initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and structures that support our cybersecurity solutions. Your expertise will help model complex data sources, develop robust data transformation layers, and collaborate closely with product engineering teams to enhance our customer-facing products. This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects within a dynamic, mission-driven environment, contributing to the protection of critical infrastructure on a global scale.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity domains
  • Proficiency in dimensional modeling and working with incremental data models
  • Strong skills in implementing data observability frameworks and designing robust data contracts
  • Expertise in optimizing data structures for performance and scalability
  • Proficiency in software development languages such as Go, JVM languages, Python, and/or Node.js
  • Experience manipulating, processing, and deriving insights from medium to large-scale datasets, particularly in cybersecurity or industrial data contexts
  • Knowledge of integrating cloud and on-premises technologies within industrial environments, with deployments on Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with message queuing and stream processing infrastructures
  • Familiarity with domain-specific data-heavy fields like threat detection, threat intelligence, or ICS/OT operations

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sustainable data contracts that meet governance and compliance standards
  • Model complex data sources to enable high-performance analytics and reporting
  • Create and maintain a data transformation layer integral to our analytics processes
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to develop data solutions that improve customer-facing products and services
  • Establish shared tooling for observability, lineage tracking, and configuration validation to ensure data quality and transparency
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to align data strategies and share best practices across teams
  • Continuously optimize data pipelines for scalability, reliability, and performance
