About the Opportunity:
The DATA ENGINEER role focuses on designing and developing scalable data solutions that transform diverse source data into trusted, high-quality datasets. This position is critical for enabling reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives that influence customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth. The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to support enterprise data modernization and ensure reliable data delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and products
- Integrate data from enterprise applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and operational systems
- Build reusable datasets to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning
- Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and reliability issues
- Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Work with BI developers, analysts, and product owners to deliver trusted data assets
- Participate in sprint planning and solution design discussions
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and validation
- Support data governance through documentation of lineage, rules, and metadata
- Ensure consistency and standardization across data domains
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data delivery
- Engage in cloud modernization, AI/ML enablement, and data platform improvements
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and best practices
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional data and business teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 years experience designing and implementing data pipelines using Teradata or Snowflake
- Knowledge of data warehousing, integration concepts, and data governance principles
- Experience with data quality assurance, validation, and monitoring
- Proven collaboration with business analysts, BI engineers, and stakeholders
- Understanding of retail industry data sources and business processes
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Salary range $75,000 - $90,000, varies based on candidate factors
- Eligibility for annual merit-based increases
