This is a full-time position located in Hudson, OH. The position is 5 days a week onsite.
- Job Purpose
- We’re seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team and lead the development and support of the data infrastructure that enables our internal analytics and reporting efforts. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary technical owner of our ELT pipelines and Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring they remain reliable, scalable, and well-optimized. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of analysts and systems administrators who rely on accurate, organized data to support reporting, decision-making, and day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of our ELT pipelines and Snowflake data warehouse.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, data quality concerns, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop, design, and document new data models and transformations as analytical requirements continue to evolve.
- Ensure the reliability, consistency, and availability of data for downstream users and applications.
- Support, maintain, and enhance API integration workflows built using Boomi and Python.
- Maintain and help expand custom Python applications developed by the team.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define, plan, and deliver new data integration initiatives.
- Participate in evaluating modern data tools and technologies as we explore opportunities to improve our existing architecture.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and technical decisions to strengthen institutional knowledge over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of practical experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling principles for analytical workloads.
- Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud-based data warehouse platform.
- Understanding of ELT/ETL pipeline concepts and tools
- Experience working with WhereScape RED, Matillion, Airbyte, dbt, or similar ELT automation platforms.
- Working proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and scripting.
- Experience developing and supporting API integrations using REST-based data sources.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and identify root causes.
- Experience using GitHub for version control.
- Additional Skills
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as Boomi or similar iPaaS solutions.
- Oracle EBS and Salesforce.
- Understanding of data pipeline orchestration concepts.
- Experience partnering closely with Business Intelligence & analytics teams in a technical capacity.
