- Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in enterprise data engineering, data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML. The ideal candidate will have 12–16 years of experience working extensively with data and collaborating closely with Data Scientists, ML teams, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms.
- Build robust ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Work closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to prepare high-quality, model-ready datasets.
- Develop data models, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions.
- Support AI/ML initiatives through feature engineering, data preparation, and ML data pipelines.
- Analyze complex datasets and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Optimize data pipelines, SQL queries, Spark jobs, and cloud-based data processing workloads.
- Implement data quality, governance, lineage, security, and monitoring best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to enterprise data strategy.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Required Skills
- 12–16 years of overall IT/data experience
- Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Architecture
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with Spark / PySpark
- Strong ETL/ELT and data pipeline development experience
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience working with Data Science / AI/ML teams
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML technologies and ML data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to interact directly with business stakeholders and explain complex data concepts clearly

- Important: Candidates from a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Data Architect background are all acceptable, provided they have a strong data foundation, AI/ML exposure, experience working with Data Scientists, and excellent business communication skills.
- Local candidates in Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX are strongly preferred. Day-1 onsite availability is required.
