Data Engineer II - WFH

## About the Role

Delphi-US is seeking a **Senior Data Engineer – Data Operations / Braze CRM** for a remote contract role working EST hours. This position focuses on enterprise data operations, customer and marketing data pipelines, and Braze CRM integration within a modern AWS, Snowflake, and DBT environment.

The Senior Data Engineer will build and maintain scalable data pipelines, support customer segmentation and campaign activation, and contribute to Customer Data Platform (CDP) and customer 360 initiatives. Success in this role requires strong data engineering experience, advanced SQL and Python skills, Snowflake expertise, and hands-on experience with CRM or customer engagement platforms.

## Key Responsibilities

• * Design and maintain scalable AWS and Snowflake data pipelines for customer, transactional, and marketing data.
• * Build and support a Snowflake-based marketing data warehouse for data ingestion into Braze CRM.
• * Define and manage customer segmentation, audience creation, and email/SMS subscription logic within Snowflake.
• * Develop Python-based JSON transformations and API integrations to synchronize data with Braze.
• * Create and maintain ELT workflows using Snowflake SQL, Python, and DBT.
• * Establish and support CI/CD pipelines for ELT processes using GitHub.
• * Implement and maintain layered Snowflake architecture, including raw, prepared, and transformed data layers.
• * Build automated data ingestion workflows using Snowpipe.
• * Consolidate data from multiple enterprise systems.
• * Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow, Astro, or similar tools.
• * Monitor data quality, governance, and reconciliation across the data platform.
• * Support Customer Data Platform (CDP) and customer 360 initiatives.
• * Collaborate with CRM, marketing, and analytics teams to support personalization and campaign delivery.

## Required Qualifications

• * 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-based environments.
• * 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, including architecture, data modeling, and ELT development.
• * 2+ years of experience supporting Braze or similar CRM/customer engagement platforms.
• * Proven experience working in modern ELT and cloud data environments.
• * Experience building and supporting data pipelines and workflow orchestration.
• * Strong experience with customer and marketing data pipelines, segmentation, and campaign activation.
• * Proficiency in Python, including API integration and JSON processing.
• * Advanced SQL skills.
• * Experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes.
• * Knowledge of Snowpipe and semi-structured/JSON data.
• * Understanding of Customer Data Platform (CDP) concepts and retail customer data.

## Preferred Qualifications

• * 2+ years of experience with DBT.
• * 2+ years of experience with Airflow, Astro, or similar orchestration tools.
• * Experience in retail or e-commerce environments.
• * Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, or Step Functions.
• * Knowledge of no-code ETL tools such as FiveTran.
• * Experience centralizing SAS or BW data into Snowflake.
• * Hands-on experience with Braze Campaigns, Canvas, Currents, or user profile integrations.
