2. About the Opportunity: The Data Engineer II role is an individual contributor position responsible for developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and data models. This role supports the organization’s ability to analyze and utilize data from various products, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and contributes to continuous improvement of the data architecture.

3. Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance ETL pipelines incorporating data from all products
  • Write efficient, maintainable code using modern tools and AI agents
  • Ensure quality and reliability of ETL processes
  • Define data models and develop reports within the analytics platform
  • Collaborate with data team members and other functional areas
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in architecting scalable data platforms
  • Mentor less experienced team members

4. Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Data Engineer in enterprise environments
  • Proficient with dbt
  • At least 3 years experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift
  • Strong expertise in MS SQL Server
  • Experience with data architecture across various database types and formats
  • Skilled in building data pipelines for data cleaning, enrichment, and transformation
  • Python experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of database design and tuning
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git) and CI/CD concepts

5. Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in horizontally scaling systems
  • Experience with Claude Code for ETL and data modeling
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using modern analytics platforms
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or other cloud data stacks
  • Understanding of message/event-driven and distributed systems architectures
  • Experience with systems integration

6. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
