We have an immediate opening for a Data Engineer with a leading IT Service Consulting company in Washington, DC

• Job purpose
• The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data solutions that enable reliable data ingestion, transformation, processing, and delivery. The role involves working with structured and unstructured data, building ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality and performance, and supporting analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Job Description:

• Must-Haves
• 2–4 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
• Strong Python and SQL
• Hands-on Apache Spark / PySpark with exposure to Databricks.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines, including batch and/or streaming
• Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, incremental processing, and data quality
• Experience with Git and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar)
• Working understanding of the SDLC and production support
• At least one Associate-level or higher AWS, Azure, or GCP certification

• Nice-to-Haves
• Exposure to Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms
