Job Summary (Data Engineer 3 / Software Engineer 3 Wells Fargo)

Support Core Downstream Application: Consolidate, cleanse, transform, and deliver trusted mortgage data assets to business consumers from multiple data repositories.
ETL & Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines using Ab Initio, Python, PySpark, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Data Integration: Integrate, normalize, and transform data from various mortgage-related systems.
Cloud Modernization: Support migration and modernization efforts from legacy on-premise platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Solution Implementation: Convert technical designs and solution blueprints into reusable, production-ready code.
Collaboration: Partner with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
Deployment & Operations: Build, schedule, orchestrate, and deploy solutions using CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins, uDeploy).
Production Support: Monitor data pipelines, ensure operational excellence, perform root cause analysis, and support production reliability.
Data Governance: Contribute to data governance, quality, and compliance practices.
Continuous Improvement: Leverage AI-assisted coding tools and modern data engineering best practices to enhance productivity and quality.

4+ years in data engineering (including PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, Teradata, Python, BigQuery)
4+ years Ab Initio ETL experience
3+ years Python programming and PySpark distributed data processing
3+ years ETL design, data warehousing, and data modeling

Financial services/mortgage industry experience
Experience with CI/CD, production operations, and cloud (GCP) migration
Experience with orchestration tools (Autosys, Airflow/Cloud Composer)
Data governance, data quality (Informatica), real-time and event-driven data processing
Familiarity with GCP operational practices and AI-assisted coding
