About The Role

The Data Developer role at eTeam is a critical position designed for professionals who possess a blend of development and quality assurance skills. This contract position, lasting six months, offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment based in Jersey City, NJ, with flexibility to work 2-3 days onsite. The primary responsibility is to develop and optimize data pipelines, scripts, and tools that support analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL, Python, and ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, with a strong understanding of data warehousing and modeling concepts. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of ensuring data quality, performance tuning, and automation of data workflows to streamline operations and enhance data reliability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SQL development and data pipeline creation.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for data processing and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and database design.
  • Experience with data quality assurance, validation, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient SQL queries and data pipelines to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Create and automate ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory or similar tools to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Develop scripts and processes to support analytics and reporting requirements across various business units.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of data processes to enhance system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Implement QA procedures to verify data accuracy and workflow functionality.
  • Document data processes, pipelines, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
