We are seeking a Data Center Field Installations Technician (L2) to support rack deployments, hardware installations, structured cabling, power distribution, cooling systems, and bring-up activities within a data center environment. This role requires hands-on experience with server, storage, and network infrastructure installations and the ability to work independently while guiding junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rack & stack installations for servers, storage, and network equipment.
  • Interpret rack elevations, cabling schematics, and deployment documentation.
  • Install, test, and validate fiber and copper cabling.
  • Support power distribution activities, including PDUs and dual-feed configurations.
  • Install and validate DX cooling and direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling systems.
  • Perform system bring-up activities, including OS imaging, POST checks, BIOS/firmware validation, and basic network connectivity testing.
  • Conduct post-installation quality assurance, audits, and troubleshooting.
  • Support project teams and mentor L1 technicians.
  • Maintain installation documentation and progress reporting.
  • Follow all data center safety, PPE, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in data center deployments, installations, or break/fix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of rack infrastructure, servers, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber and copper structured cabling.
  • Understanding of PDUs, redundant power feeds, and rack power distribution.
  • Experience with OS imaging, hardware validation, and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with DX cooling and direct-to-chip liquid cooling technologies.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, MOPs, and deployment documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead installation activities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting large-scale data center environments.
  • Knowledge of hardware replacement, rack deployment, and infrastructure validation.
  • Understanding of data center health and safety standards.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
