- Job title: Electrical Engineer
- Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
- Employment type: Full-time OR Contract
- Workplace type: Remote (with travel to active sites)
Job description:
We are hiring specialist electrical engineers for a Neocloud building gigawatt-scale data center capacity, from power acquisition through design, construction, and operations. This is a company singularly focused on delivering compute faster than anyone else in the space, at startup speed and intensity.
Both full-time employee and 12-month hourly contract engagements are available for this role, with significant chance of extension on the contract track - happy to discuss which fits depending on where you are.
This role is remote-based with travel to active sites for field support and energization milestones. Most one-line review, package review, and RFI response happens remotely - travel is tied to the moments that need a physical presence: field verification, energization readiness, and closing out checklists on power.
- How the team operates
- Extreme ownership - full autonomy, own things end to end, often beyond core role.
- Velocity - everything moves as fast as possible.
- First principles - every assumption gets challenged; best idea wins, no egos.
- High intensity - long hours pushing the frontier on what the team considers the most interesting problem space around right now.
- The team
- This team owns technical execution across every data center build - the drawings, the field questions, and the engineering calls that keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving on a "months, not years" timeline. Because the pace is fast, rework isn't an option - problems get caught on paper, not in a data hall. Lessons from every site feed into a reference design so each new build starts ahead of the last.
- Role scope
- Own electrical engineering for assigned sites: review, field support, and energization readiness.
- Review electrical packages against the reference design - one-lines, schedules, and studies.
- Answer field electrical RFIs in hours and drive recurring issues into the standard.
- Support energization: torque records, insulation test results, and checklists verified before anything closes on power.
- What we're looking for
- Electrical engineering experience in data center or industrial distribution.
- Fluent reading one-lines, panel schedules, and studies.
- Experience supporting field electrical work and energization sequences.
- Rigor on pre-energization paperwork.
- Willingness to travel to active sites as needed for field and energization support.
- Bonus: PE track, MV systems experience, power studies in SKM or ETAP, NFPA 70E.
- Terms
- Full-time employment: Salary - $200,000-$250,000
- Contract assignment - $100-$150 per hour (Overtime at 1.5x pay).
