- Position Overview
- We are looking for a motivated Data Center Business Development Representative to expand our presence within the data center industry across the United States. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate has experience in business development within the electronic recycling, IT asset disposition (ITAD), reverse logistics, or technology remarketing industry and thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the data center and technology sectors.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and outbound outreach.
- Conduct cold calls, emails, and virtual meetings to engage prospective customers and strategic partners.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Prepare tailored sales presentations, proposals, and business development materials to support customer acquisition.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support business growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to strengthen brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and exceptional customer experience.
- Track sales activities, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide regular updates on pipeline and business development progress.
- Support additional sales and strategic growth initiatives as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of business development, account management, or sales experience within electronic recycling, IT asset disposition (ITAD), reverse logistics, technology remarketing, or related industries.
- Proven ability to generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with confidence engaging executive-level decision-makers.
- Experience creating professional business proposals and delivering persuasive sales presentations.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic sales mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15%, including occasional international travel.
- Preferred Experience
- Existing network within the data center, IT infrastructure, or technology lifecycle management industry.
- Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles, reverse logistics, electronics recycling, or IT equipment remarketing.
- Experience working in a growth-focused business development environment with measurable sales targets.
