- Our challenge
- Synechron is seeking a Data and AI Partnerships Lead to drive the growth of its strategic partnerships across the Data and Artificial Intelligence ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Hyperscaler Partnerships, this role will initially focus on accelerating Synechron’s partnership with Databricks, while expanding relationships with other strategic Data and AI technology providers over time.
- This role provides the opportunity to shape Synechron’s Data and AI ecosystem strategy at a time when organizations are rapidly accelerating investments in AI, data platforms, and enterprise intelligence. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the Databricks platform, partner ecosystem, and go-to-market model, combined with a strong understanding of emerging AI technologies and enterprise adoption trends.
- This individual will act as a strategic advisor on the evolving Data and AI partnership landscape, identifying opportunities where Synechron can build differentiated capabilities, develop joint solutions, and create market-leading offerings for financial services clients.
- As Synechron’s Data and AI partnership portfolio matures, this role is positioned to evolve into a broader ecosystem leadership mandate, covering a wider set of strategic technology partners and playing a more senior role in shaping Synechron’s overall partner strategy. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to build something that does not yet exist and leave a clear mark on how Synechron competes in the Data and AI market.

- The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within NYC is $100k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

- Job Title: Data and AI Partnerships Lead
- Location: NYC (hybrid)
- 1. Databricks Partnership Leadership
- Drive the strategic growth and maturity of Synechron’s Databricks partnership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Databricks alliance, partner development, and field teams.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for greater partner alignment, including joint go-to-market initiatives, industry solutions, client engagements, partner programs, Marketplace opportunities, and certifications and competencies.
- Work closely with Synechron’s Data and AI practice teams to develop Databricks-enabled solutions and accelerators.
- Sell Databricks solutions into existing Synechron accounts, leveraging established client relationships to identify and progress data platform modernization and migration opportunities.
- Build the Databricks co-sell motion over time, working with Databricks field teams to hunt for net new opportunities and establish Synechron as a preferred implementation partner.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the broader Databricks ecosystem to create differentiated client offerings.
- 2. Data and AI Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage relationships with strategic Data and AI technology partners, including Databricks, Snowflake, Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, and other emerging AI technology providers.
- Evaluate new partnership opportunities aligned with Synechron’s business strategy and Data and AI practice priorities.
- Develop a structured approach to partner prioritization, ensuring Synechron’s ecosystem investments are focused where they create the most client and commercial value.
- 3. AI Market Intelligence and Strategic Foresight
- Act as Synechron’s Data and AI ecosystem intelligence lead, staying current on advancements across Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models, AI platforms and infrastructure, and enterprise AI adoption.
- Monitor market movements, technology investments, and partner strategies across the Data and AI landscape.
- Anticipate where the market is heading and translate those signals into strategic recommendations for Synechron’s practice and leadership teams.
- Provide ongoing intelligence on competitive partner positioning and emerging ecosystem dynamics.
- 4. Joint Go-To-Market Development
- Develop joint business opportunities with Data and AI technology partners.
- Create partnership-driven offerings, accelerators, and client-facing solutions in collaboration with Synechron practice teams.
- Enable sales teams with partner insights, messaging, and market positioning to support client conversations.
- Support executive briefings, industry events, and partner marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert on the Data and AI ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 5 or more years of experience in technology partnerships, alliances, business development, consulting, or ecosystem development.
- Strong understanding of Databricks technology, ecosystem, and partner model, with experience working with Databricks implementations, consulting partnerships, or alliance programs.
- Good Understanding of modern data platforms, including lakehouse architecture, data engineering, data governance, analytics, and machine learning and AI workloads.
- Existing relationships within the Databricks partner or field ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of enterprise AI trends and emerging technologies across the Data and AI landscape.
- Ability to translate technology capabilities into business outcomes and market opportunities.
- Proven ability to sell or co-sell into enterprise accounts, with experience working alongside client-facing teams to progress opportunities.
- Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills.
- Based in the New York area is preferred; candidates with strong qualifications in other locations will be considered.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience within a consulting, systems integrator, or technology services organization.
- Experience developing joint go-to-market strategies with technology partners.
- Knowledge of financial services data, analytics, and AI transformation.
- Familiarity with cloud AI ecosystems across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Databricks certifications at any level, or active pursuit of them.
