Raise is currently hiring a Data and AI Governance Analysts on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is a major Canadian airline. Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Data and AI Governance Analyst to join our clients Governance team. In this pivotal role, you will support the development, implementation, and operationalization of their enterprise Data and AI Governance frameworks. You will work closely with the VP of Data, Analytics & AI to define the processes, policies, and operating models that ensure our organization leverages data and AI responsibly, securely, and in compliance with emerging regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Define and document enterprise-level governance policies, decision rights, standards, and operating models for both data and AI.
  • AI Governance Implementation: Establish the AI Governance team, oversee the AI intake/review processes, and ensure enterprise AI policies are reviewed and approved.
  • Data Governance Maturity: Mature existing data governance practices, focusing on stewardship, data quality, metadata management, and lifecycle policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between business units, technology, legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on governance controls.
  • Regulatory Readiness: Monitor emerging AI regulations and translate complex risk requirements into practical, actionable operating practices.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare executive-ready reports, documentation, and presentations to facilitate governance forums and decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Data Governance, AI Governance, Information Governance, Risk, or Privacy disciplines. Experience within large, regulated organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing or maturing enterprise governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Deep understanding of AI risk management, responsible AI principles, and regulatory landscape.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business controls.
  • Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and create high-quality, professional executive documentation.
  • NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience with governance tooling (Data Catalog, Metadata Management, Data Quality tools).
  • Direct experience supporting AI use case intake, risk assessment, and inventory management.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Preferred Certifications: AIGP (AI Governance Professional), CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), or equivalent industry-recognized governance certifications.
