Overview
We are looking for a Consultant to join the growing Data & Analytics practice of a leading financial consulting firm. The team advises CFOs, Controllers, FP&A leaders, and business executives on analytics, reporting, automation, and data transformation initiatives.
This is a client-facing role focused on leading engagements from planning through implementation. The Consultant will oversee project delivery, translate business requirements into practical solutions, manage cross-functional teams, and mentor junior professionals.
The role is well suited for someone with experience across data analytics, business intelligence, finance transformation, automation, or technology consulting who can combine technical knowledge with strong project and client management skills.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analytics, reporting, automation, and business transformation engagements
- Design and implement dashboards, reporting tools, analytics solutions, and automated workflows
- Analyze financial, accounting, operational, and transactional data to improve reporting and decision-making
- Partner with finance, accounting, FP&A, operations, and technology stakeholders to define business requirements
- Manage cross-functional projects involving data transformation, process improvement, and technology implementation
- Develop executive-ready dashboards, analyses, presentations, and reporting packages
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, team performance, and client communication
- Support proposals, client relationship management, and business development efforts
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance transformation, data engineering, automation, or technology consulting (Ideally at a Big 4 firm, but not required. Consulting is required)
- Experience leading analytics, reporting, automation, or business transformation projects
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, FP&A, operational reporting, or business performance processes
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Experience with workflow automation or ETL tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, or similar technologies
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or another analytics-focused programming language
- Exposure to relational databases, data modeling, cloud data platforms, or technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- CPA or another relevant professional certification is a plus
