  • HEAVY Dashboard Interactive experience is required for this role.
  • We are looking for someone who is very creative and that has experience in designing, creating and maintaining dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI

Job details :

  • NOTE : The manager is conducting in-person interviews ONLY.. This is a hybrid position 3 days per week in the office .
  • Product Support is the primary quality liaison group between the factories and the market. The primary role of the Data Visualization Specialist position is to create dashboards and visual reports to track warranty claims, product quality metrics, and customer satisfaction data. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for data visualization to support our mission of improving vehicle quality and the customer experience.
  • Years of Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience with data visualization, including internships, academic projects, or personal portfolios. Experience in automotive or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
  • Description:
  • Dashboard Development – 70%
  • • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to monitor warranty claims, defect rates, current and long term quality issues and high cost drivers
  • • Collaborate with warranty analysts and quality engineers to understand data needs and design visualizations that highlight key trends and insights
  • • Transform raw warranty and quality data (e.g., repair orders, part failure rates) into clear, actionable visuals for team reviews and management reports
  • • Ensure data accuracy by performing basic cleaning and validation tasks on datasets from warranty databases
  • • Update dashboards regularly to reflect new data inputs, such as monthly warranty claims or field quality audits.
  • • Assist in presenting visualized insights to non-technical stakeholders, such as quality managers or service teams, in a simple and impactful way.
  • • Support ad-hoc reporting requests, such as visualizing trends in specific vehicle models or regions.
  • • Document dashboard designs and data sources to ensure consistency and ease of use for the team.
  • Field Reporting (30%)
  • • Support data analysts with reporting within VW Technical Service using traditional reporting methods
  • • Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of monthly, quarterly and annual quality reports for upper management
  • • Quickly and accurately gather, prepare data upon request from management
  • Education
  • Required
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Desired
  • • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Skills: General skills needed to perform the job
  • • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable visualizations.
  • • Good communication skills to explain findings to team members.
  • • Curiosity and willingness to learn about automotive warranty and quality processes.
