About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Product Data Analyst to join the Engine X team. Engine X is our flagship corporate charge card product, uniquely built on Engine’s proprietary supply relationships, pricing intelligence, and travel infrastructure. As a core component of our product ecosystem, data plays a vital role in driving decision-making and product optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, structure, and timely delivery of analytical insights related to transaction data, rewards activity, activation events, spend categories, and booking behavior. You will develop and maintain dashboards, perform anomaly detection, support product experiments, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions. Your work will directly influence product strategies, operational efficiencies, and business growth, making this a pivotal role within our organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or a similar analytical role
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries involving joins, aggregations, and window functions, preferably on Snowflake
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting frameworks using tools such as HEX, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of data accuracy and integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis
  • Curiosity about product and business context behind data
  • Experience in fintech, payments, card products, or financial services analytics is a plus
  • Familiarity with dbt or collaboration with analytics engineering teams is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance core performance dashboards tracking key metrics such as activation rates, spend volume, booking value, rewards utilization, and retention
  • Regularly track and report on critical Engine X metrics to ensure stakeholders have accurate, up-to-date insights
  • Investigate data anomalies, diagnose issues, document findings, and communicate insights proactively
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and aggregate data from Snowflake
  • Develop reusable data models and reporting assets that are well-structured, documented, and scalable
  • Support A/B testing and product experiments by establishing analytical frameworks, analyzing results, and presenting actionable insights
  • Collaborate with product managers, senior analysts, and engineering teams to scope requests, validate data pipelines, and ensure data quality
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for metrics, data models, definitions, and known limitations
  • Partner with analytics engineering and data engineering teams to troubleshoot data quality issues and validate pipeline outputs
