- Location: Columbia, SC 29223 (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday to Thursday)
- Duration: 11+ Months Contract
- Pay Rate: $29/hr W2 (Only W2 candidates)
- Interview Process: 50-minute virtual interview (2nd round onsite if required)

- We are seeking a Data Analyst I to support operational reporting, data analysis, and business process improvement initiatives for a leading healthcare organization (Blue Cross Blue Shield). The ideal candidate will work closely with business teams to extract, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities
- Extract data from multiple systems using SQL and other data tools for recurring, ad hoc, and cyclical reporting
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical models to support business operations
- Analyze data trends and summarize findings for management and stakeholders
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
- Maintain and enhance recurring reports with a focus on automation and accuracy
- Present insights and recommendations to business users in a clear and actionable manner
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or related field
- OR equivalent experience (2-year degree + 2 years experience OR 4 years relevant experience)
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work with complex data sets and perform statistical analysis
- Understanding of reporting systems and data workflows
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tableau, Power Automate, Python, or GitHub
- Experience with SAS, DB2, or other relational databases
- Healthcare data experience (ICD-9 / CPT coding knowledge a plus)
- Strong consulting, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management skills
- Work Environment
- Hybrid work model (3 days onsite per week)
- Collaborative team environment (approx. 10-member analytics team)
- Mix of development work and operational reporting support
- Focus on data-driven decision-making, automation, and process improvement
