  • Duration: ~4.5 months (08/17/2026 – 12/31/2026)
  • Pay Range: $30-35/hr. on W2
  • Job Description
  • Support merchant onboarding initiatives by building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines that power critical business operations. This role focuses on transforming, validating, and troubleshooting merchant data feeds to ensure accurate ingestion into downstream systems. You'll partner closely with Technical Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to implement scalable data integration solutions while maintaining high standards for data quality and operational reliability.
  • This role is ideal for a Data Analyst or ETL Developer with strong SQL skills, experience working with structured and semi-structured data, and a passion for solving complex data challenges in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Job Functions
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL pipelines supporting merchant onboarding and third-party integrations.
  • Analyze, transform, and standardize merchant data from JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, and other flat-file formats.
  • Develop and maintain SQL transformations using Databricks (Spark SQL preferred).
  • Create and maintain data mapping specifications, transformation logic, and validation rules.
  • Validate data quality, completeness, and accuracy throughout the ingestion process.
  • Investigate production data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to onboard new merchants successfully.
  • Support multiple merchant implementations simultaneously while meeting project timelines.
  • Document data mappings, transformation logic, operational procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve pipeline performance and reliability.
  • Skills/Abilities
  • Strong SQL development and data analysis skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/data integration pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data transformation, schema mapping, and data validation best practices.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data formats, including JSON, XML, CSV, and flat files.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and data specifications.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and operational excellence.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Integration, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL experience; Databricks and Spark SQL experience preferred.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting production ETL pipelines.
  • Experience validating and transforming large datasets.
  • Experience supporting third-party or merchant data integrations preferred.
  • Experience with flat-file integrations is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering environments is a plus.
