DATA ANALYST

Your data expertise can directly steer the brand strategy of a global retail giant while you spearhead a high-impact data migration from legacy systems to SQL. If you are looking for a highly visible data role where your interactive dashboards directly influence executive decisions, this long-term opportunity offers the perfect blend of technical ownership and strategic business impact.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Joining the Product Development Licensing and Branding team for a Fortune 100 retail leader based in Framingham, MA, you will act as a hybrid data strategist and analyst. In this long-term contract role with strong conversion potential, you will lead the transformation of legacy Access environments into advanced SQL data marts and dynamic Power BI dashboards. Working a predictable hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday and Wednesday, with fully remote flexibility during quarter-end), you will turn massive, complex datasets into the actionable insights that executives rely on to manage critical brand partnerships.

  • WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead the technical transition of legacy Microsoft Access databases into a high-performance, SQL-based data mart to ensure data integrity.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that visualize key business metrics for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analyze massive, complex datasets—including purchase orders and contract terms—using advanced SQL queries to identify commercial trends and process improvements.
  • Partner closely with multi-functional internal teams to gather data requirements and deliver tailored business intelligence solutions.
  • Present data-driven reports and performance summaries to leadership and brand partners, directly influencing brand management strategies.
  • Document new data processes and deliver light training to ensure the broader team is empowered to leverage your Power BI solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or highly analytical corporate operations role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including database development, writing advanced queries, and data transformation processes.
  • Proven hands-on experience building interactive dashboards from scratch in Power BI, alongside strong legacy skills in MS Access and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data findings into compelling business narratives for leadership.
  • A highly organized, accountable working style with a natural knack for driving process automation and efficiency.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • High Visibility & Real Impact: You are not just pulling data; you are building the foundational analytical engine used to guide brand performance and contract adherence for a massive global corporation.
  • Resume-Building Tech Migration: Leading an Access-to-SQL migration provides high-value, modern architecture experience that proves your ability to transform corporate data environments.
  • The Best of Both Worlds: Enjoy a highly collaborative hybrid schedule with predictable in-office days, balanced by 100% remote weeks during high-intensity quarter-close periods.
  • True Contract-to-Career Pathway: This position is funded for the long haul by a business unit actively looking for long-term alignment and future conversion opportunities.
