Description

TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support government program operations, data management initiatives, records management activities, and program documentation efforts.

This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the New Orleans, LA area.

The Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting program operations by maintaining data integrity, tracking records management activities, supporting documentation development, and assisting with program reporting and process improvement efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

This position supports a federal organization responsible for managing grant-funded ecosystem restoration initiatives. The Data Analyst contributes to program effectiveness by ensuring accurate data management, supporting records compliance requirements, maintaining tracking systems, and assisting with the development of program documentation and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support data entry and records management activities, including development, preparation, and quality control of datasets for incorporation into a Government SharePoint site.
  • Coordinate with a records management contractor and program staff to identify, sort, and resolve records management issues in accordance with approved schedules.
  • Maintain a records management tracking spreadsheet to monitor progress toward program compliance requirements.
  • Track completion of required field site visits and observation forms; issue reminders to program staff as needed.
  • Provide logistical support for program documentation, including note‑taking during staff calls, formatting and publishing meeting notes, and tracking assignments and schedules.
  • Support drafting, formatting, and revision of program documents, presentations, figures, and graphics using standard office tools.
  • Produce bi‑weekly status reports on tasks, initiatives, and project plans, and participate in bi‑weekly status meetings with Government leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in data or information management, business administration, data science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as Google Suite tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Presentations.
  • Experience organizing, managing, and validating data; working with computer‑generated reports; and extracting data from databases to develop summaries that support technical evaluations, management oversight, and financial record‑keeping activities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, ideas, and analyses to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to receive training and follow direction in support of Government program requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with proven ability to coordinate work across multiple, geographically dispersed teams and project members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply general procedural guidelines accurately and consistently.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Background Investigation:

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
