Summary
Join a dynamic construction and service industry team as a Data Analyst specializing in Power BI. Play a key role in developing and maintaining dashboards that support finance, operations, and project management leaders. Translate complex business questions into clear, accurate, and actionable reports, ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple enterprise systems. Your insights will directly influence project reviews, financial closures, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Power BI report development experience, including designing structured, performant dashboards tailored to various audiences
- Strong proficiency in DAX, including time intelligence and financial calculations
- Industry experience in construction, MEP contracting, field service, or related project-based accounting (WIP, POC, job costing, project billing)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as IFS, ComputerEase, Vista by Viewpoint, Sage Intacct, or similar
- Solid SQL skills for querying and validating source data
- Experience working within governed Power BI environments with deployment pipelines and security features
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills capable of translating technical details for non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and publish Power BI dashboards and reports for multiple business units and executive stakeholders
- Develop semantic models and datasets in collaboration with Data Architects, writing DAX measures and calculated columns
- Maintain existing dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and incorporating stakeholder feedback
- Validate source system data against reports, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues as needed
- Support projects such as IFS lobby migration by creating Power BI alternatives
- Document report logic, data sources, and key business rules for ongoing reference and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Project Management teams to refine reports that answer critical business questions
