Data Analyst – Sales Analytics

Position Summary

PracticeSuite is seeking a Data Analyst – Sales Analytics to support our sales organization by transforming business and sales data into actionable insights. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining sales reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools that help leadership and sales teams understand performance, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Build, maintain, and enhance sales reports and dashboards to support the Sales organization.
  • - Develop reporting around key sales metrics, including:
  • New sales and revenue
  • MRR/ARR
  • Sales pipeline
  • Lead volume and conversion
  • Opportunities by stage
  • Win/loss rates
  • Sales representative performance
  • Sales quotas and attainment
  • Average deal size
  • Sales cycle length
  • Customer acquisition trends
  • - Create automated and recurring reports for Sales leadership and management.
  • - Analyze sales data to identify trends, performance gaps, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • - Partner with Sales leadership to understand reporting requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across sales reports.
  • - Develop dashboards that allow managers to monitor team and individual performance.
  • - Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support sales strategy and business decisions.
  • - Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and reduce manual data entry or reporting activities.
  • - Work with CRM and other business systems to extract, organize, and analyze data.
  • - Assist with defining and maintaining sales KPIs and standardized reporting methodologies.
  • - Investigate discrepancies between reports and underlying data and work with appropriate teams to resolve data-quality issues.
  • - Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations when needed.
  • - Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and other departments to ensure reporting aligns with business objectives.
  • - Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, data definitions, and reporting processes.
  • - Support forecasting and sales planning through data analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • - 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, sales analytics, or a similar role.
  • - Strong proficiency in SQL and experience querying relational databases.
  • - Experience building dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms.
  • - Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
  • - Experience working with CRM data, preferably HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • - Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • - Ability to manage multiple reporting requests and prioritize work based on business needs.
  • - Experience supporting a Sales or Revenue organization.
  • - Experience with HubSpot reporting and analytics.
  • - Experience with SaaS, healthcare technology, EHR, RCM, or healthcare-related businesses.
  • - Experience analyzing subscription-based business metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, expansion, and customer acquisition.
  • - Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.
  • - Familiarity with data warehouses, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • - Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • - Knowledge of sales forecasting and pipeline analytics.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who enjoys turning raw information into practical business insights. They should be comfortable working directly with Sales leadership, asking the right questions, identifying what the business needs to measure, and developing reports that make that information easy to understand.

This person should be able to move beyond simply producing reports and help PracticeSuite understand what the data is telling us and what actions we should take as a result.
