About The Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Analyst to join our team supporting a Federal government client. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through data analysis, visualization, and reporting. Your expertise will enable decision-makers to leverage data effectively, supporting enterprise analytics tools, dashboards, and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful government initiatives while working in a collaborative, remote environment with occasional meetings at our headquarters in Washington, DC, Reston, VA, Arlington, VA, or Boulder, CO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting data administration, analytics, or business intelligence efforts
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines, data transformation, and reporting workflows
  • Proficiency in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or comparable tools for data analysis and preparation
  • Strong attention to data quality, structure, and documentation standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting analytical findings
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a public trust clearance or suitability

Responsibilities

  • Support data administration efforts by collecting, restructuring, cleaning, transforming, and validating datasets used for analytics and AI-enabled systems
  • Maintain and improve data pipelines that prepare curated datasets for integration into enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI platforms
  • Develop and update dashboards and data visualizations to support operational awareness and strategic decision-making
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues impacting analytics and AI efficiency
  • Support scripting, automation, and workflow development to enhance data preparation, integration, and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and technical teams to ensure data readiness, consistency, and usability for AI-enabled analytics
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear reports, dashboards, and summaries for diverse stakeholders
  • Document data sources, definitions, and analytical processes to promote reuse and scalability of data assets
  • Ensure all data products comply with federal standards for quality, accuracy, governance, and security
  • Participate actively in team initiatives aligned with our commitments to deliver, grow, and thrive
