Data Analyst Junior

TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst for a 6 Month opportunity with our client.

• Position Title: Data Analyst
• Location: NYC, NY/Hybrid 3 days onsite
• Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

• Expected Duration: 6 Months
• Job Type: Fully Hybrid 3 days onsite
• Pay Range: $50-$55/hr
• Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

About the role:

• We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our dynamic team supporting client data analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in advanced SQL, SAS programming, and data visualization and a proven ability to design, maintain, and analyze program data to identify trends for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
• Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain program data assets and data pipelines.
• Conduct analyses using statistical tools to interpret data sets and identify patterns and trends.
• Mine data from primary and secondary sources and reorganize data for human and machine consumption.
• Identify and resolve coding errors and data quality issues to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization.
• Proficient in SAS programming, including macro development and PROC SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred Skills:
• Agile and Scrum methodology, Atlassian JIRA, Azure DevOps.
• Cloud platforms and tooling such as Amazon EC2 and CI/CD pipelines.
• Python, Java, and API testing with Postman.
• RDBMS experience including Oracle and MySQL, data modeling, and report development.
• Quality assurance exposure including automated and manual testing, regression testing, and STLC.
