2. About the Opportunity:

The Data Analyst II supports healthcare-related projects by managing and analyzing complex healthcare data to produce high-quality, data-driven insights. This role applies quantitative methods and statistical modeling to large datasets, contributing to research that informs healthcare policy and program improvements. It plays a key part in ensuring accurate data analysis and effective communication of findings tailored to client needs.

3. Responsibilities:

  • • Analyze healthcare data including claims and national surveys.
  • • Construct, clean, and statistically model data using SAS and Python or R.
  • • Apply statistical methods to analyze data.
  • • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to programming guidelines and quality assurance.
  • • Summarize and report data findings in memos, briefs, or reports.
  • • Collaborate professionally with peers, managers, and clients.
  • • Meet project timelines and deadlines.
  • • Manage and interpret research data using quantitative techniques.
  • • Contribute to research study design and methodology.
  • • Prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • • Review work products for accuracy and consistency.

4. Requirements:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; master’s preferred.
  • • 3-5 years of quantitative research experience in health policy or related field.
  • • Minimum 3 years experience as a Programmer or Data Analyst with coding skills including merges, joins, and macros.
  • • Proficiency in SAS required; Python and R strongly preferred.
  • • Experience with large Medicare, Medicaid, MEPS, or similar claims or survey data.
  • • Knowledge of data management and analysis techniques.
  • • Strong problem-solving and advanced analytic skills.
  • • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
