Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Data Analyst supporting the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. The Data Analyst will collect, organize, and interpret membership, event, and program-related data to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and improve member services. Day-to-day tasks include building reports and dashboards, analyzing trends in engagement and demographics, and preparing clear visualizations and summaries for leadership and committees. The role also involves collaborating with staff and volunteers to define data requirements, ensuring data quality, and recommending data-driven improvements to outreach, programming, and operations. The position requires consistent, independent work in a remote environment and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics tools to interpret complex datasets and identify key trends.
Working knowledge of statistics and statistical methods for reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Experience with data modeling and structuring data for reporting, dashboards, and decision-making.
Effective communication skills for presenting data insights clearly to leadership, committees, and diverse audiences.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines reliably.
Experience working with nonprofit or membership-based organizations is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
