  • Role Description The Data Analyst / Data Scientist will support the Regional Integration Network for International Professionals in Berlin by turning complex data into actionable insights that improve services and outcomes for internationally recruited talent and partner organizations. This part-time, remote role includes collecting, cleaning, and validating data from various internal and external sources, as well as designing and maintaining dashboards and reports for stakeholders. The position involves conducting exploratory and statistical analyses, building and refining data models, and translating findings into clear recommendations for program design and policy decisions. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, documenting methodologies and data pipelines, and ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and proven experience in data analytics to evaluate trends, patterns, and performance indicators.
  • Solid foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, and basic experimental design, to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience with data modeling and working with relational databases or data warehouses to structure and optimize data for analysis.
  • Clear and effective communication skills to present complex analytical results in an accessible way to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Python or R, SQL, Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau).
  • Understanding of data privacy, security, and ethical handling of sensitive information, ideally within a public or social sector context.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Interest or experience in labor markets, migration, integration, or public administration is an advantage; working proficiency in English is required, and German skills are beneficial.
