Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer at Grow Human is a part-time remote role focused on protecting digital assets and infrastructure. The individual in this role monitors security systems and logs, investigates alerts, and responds to potential security incidents. Daily responsibilities include assessing application and network vulnerabilities, conducting malware analysis, and implementing security controls and best practices. The role also involves collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to improve security policies, documenting findings, and contributing to security awareness efforts across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
Hands-on experience with Application Security, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation.
Proficiency in Network Security, such as firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and network monitoring.
Capability in Malware Analysis, including detection, classification, and understanding malware behavior and impact.
Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting complex data, correlating security events, and making sound decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP) is beneficial.
Experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and log analysis platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, OSCP) are a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
