Role Description The Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer role at AGB is a part-time, remote position responsible for helping secure trading platforms, internal applications, and supporting infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring systems and networks for security events, investigating alerts, and conducting basic malware and threat analysis. The role involves assessing application and network vulnerabilities, supporting remediation efforts, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to implement security best practices. The Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer will also assist in documenting security procedures, contributing to incident response activities, and promoting a culture of secure development and operations across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity, with experience in identifying, assessing, and responding to security threats.
Proficiency in Application Security practices, including secure coding principles, vulnerability assessment, and remediation support.
Hands-on knowledge of Network Security, such as configuring secure network architectures, monitoring traffic, and managing firewalls or IDS/IPS.
Experience or familiarity with Malware Analysis and basic threat hunting techniques to support investigations and incident response.
Robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret logs, correlate events, and communicate findings in a clear, structured manner.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent) and/or coursework in information security, computer science, or a related field are beneficial.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with strong time management and communication skills.
Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or high-availability online services is a plus.
