Role Description This part-time remote Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer role focuses on protecting Afa Manaus’s digital infrastructure, applications, and data. The professional in this role monitors systems and networks for security incidents, investigates alerts, and performs malware analysis to identify threats and vulnerabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing security logs, conducting risk assessments, supporting secure application development, and recommending improvements to security policies and controls. The role also involves collaborating with IT and other business stakeholders to strengthen security posture, prepare incident response plans, and ensure alignment with best practices and relevant standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity with proven Analytical Skills for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks.
Expertise in Network Security, including secure configuration, monitoring, and protection of network infrastructure.
Experience with Application Security, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation.
Hands-on skills in Malware Analysis, including detection, classification, and response to malicious software.
Relevant knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and common security tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP) are a plus.
Experience in securing systems within manufacturing or industrial environments is beneficial.
