About The Role

The Cyber Security Analyst – Enterprise Systems (IT) is a vital member of the IT security team at IOA. This fully remote position, supporting candidates within the EST/CST time zones, involves safeguarding the organization’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The role requires administering security technologies, monitoring for security incidents, and implementing best practices to ensure compliance and security integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure organizational environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the company’s security posture through proactive threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security policy enforcement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity-focused role
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, antivirus solutions, patch management, and vulnerability scanning tools
  • Familiarity with log analysis and SIEM platforms (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+; CISSP preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, CrowdStrike, and Wiz (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize security platforms and technologies to ensure reliable performance and effective protection of organizational assets
  • Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts using SIEM and related tools to identify, investigate, and respond to potential threats and anomalies
  • Investigate, contain, remediate, and document security incidents, coordinating escalation with internal teams and external partners as necessary
  • Perform vulnerability scans and security assessments across systems and networks, prioritizing findings and coordinating remediation efforts
  • Manage and support cybersecurity tools including endpoint protection, firewalls, patch management solutions, and cloud security platforms
  • Oversee user access provisioning and de-provisioning processes, ensuring proper authorization and access controls
  • Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and data protection measures aligned with organizational objectives
  • Review, update, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
  • Assist in cybersecurity risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate security awareness initiatives and training programs to promote a security-conscious culture
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, system configurations, and audit records for internal and external reviews
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Manager, IT teams, and other stakeholders on security projects and operational improvements
  • Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements to enhance security measures
