Role: A Staff Cyber Security Analyst supports critical cybersecurity operations by monitoring and analyzing system activity to identify and respond to threats.
Responsibilities:
- Detecting and reporting cyber-attacks, intrusions, and anomalous activities
- Analyzing network traffic and system data for threats
- Correlating security events and incidents from various sources
- Performing incident triage, assessing scope, urgency, and impact
- Tracking and documenting incidents from detection to resolution
- Assessing damage to data and infrastructure
- Conducting trend analysis and reporting on cyber incidents
- Operating in a 24x7 shift environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., GSEC, Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security)
- Experience with Windows and Linux OS
- Knowledge of network documentation, security compliance, and patching
- Familiarity with CSOC environments and COTS cybersecurity tools
- Understanding of security principles, techniques, and protocols
Preferred: CISSP certification
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Physical Requirements: Ability to remain stationary, occasional movement within the office, and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
