Role Description The Cyber Security Analyst is a full-time, hybrid role based in Arlington, VA, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this role, the analyst monitors networks and applications for security events, investigates alerts, and analyzes potential threats such as malware and intrusion attempts. The analyst conducts vulnerability assessments, supports security incident response, and contributes to documenting findings and remediation steps. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security controls, assist with security policy implementation, and provide clear reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Cybersecurity and Analytical Skills to identify, evaluate, and respond to security risks.
Candidates should possess Application Security and Network Security skills to secure software, systems, and infrastructure.
Candidates should possess Malware Analysis skills to investigate, classify, and mitigate malicious code and related threats.
Experience with security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are required.
TS/SCI clearance required
