- Hiring: Aero ITR Cost Lead
- Location : Houston, TX
- Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days in office (Tuesday & Thursday)
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (flexible)
- Contract Duration: Approximately 12 Months (Possible multi-year extension and conversion to Full time based on performance)
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Pay Rate: $53/hr + 50% Health Insurance (Medical + Dental + Vision)

- Role Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Aero ITR Cost Lead to develop, evaluate, optimize, and present project costs for Aero gas turbine power generation projects during both proposal preparation (ITO) and project execution (OTR).
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Tendering, Finance, Project Management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting, effective project controls, and continuous margin improvement.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, integration, and optimization of project costs for Aero plant proposals during the ITO phase.
- Develop project cost summaries and present cost information to leadership.
- Support OTR project teams by accurately calculating and optimizing Estimate at Completion (EAC) using actual costs, percentage completion, and cost-to-go forecasts.
- Partner with Project Managers and Project Finance Managers to maintain budgets and prepare for project financial reviews.
- Collaborate with functional teams to review and approve accurate and competitive EACs.
- Drive strong project controls through frequent EAC updates, actual cost analysis, percentage-complete assessments, and forecasting.
- Partner regularly with functional owners covering non-equipment scopes such as construction, site staffing, technical advisory services, project management, and other execution-related costs.
- Identify, track, and communicate P75 cost opportunities and risks across project teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to project costing using Lean methodologies.
- Develop standard work documentation and establish best practices for Aero EAC processes.
- Incorporate lessons learned and margin-improvement opportunities from project execution into future proposals.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or another relevant technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Project Management
- Power Plant Design
- Cost Estimating
- Cost Engineering
- Related project cost/control functions
- Desired Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of Aero gas turbine power plant systems, including plant-level design and costing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project cost forecasting, EACs, and financial/project controls.
- Proven track record of driving process and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical, finance, and project management teams.
