Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in a Project Cost Analyst role
Strong background in oil & gas, renewables (wind/solar), or large-scale utility projects.
Experience managing costs and forecasts for projects $100M+; familiarity with portfolios up to $11B.
Proficient in SAP (especially PR/PO and general ledger reporting), advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, and data analysis.
Reporting: Ability to produce accurate, timely forecasts and explain variances; experience with ad hoc reporting.
Understanding of EPC contract structures and change order processes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization

Job Description
An employer is looking for a Sr. Cost Analyst to join one of our top Utility clients in the Nation on their Fixed Asset team. The Senior Cost Analyst will support large-scale utility construction and renewables projects, focusing on cost controls, forecasting, and reporting. This role is critical for managing complex, high-value portfolios and ensuring accurate, timely financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Manage cost controls and forecasting for 2–3 large projects (typically $100M–$3B+).
Prepare and deliver ad hoc and scheduled reports, including variance analysis and explanations.
Support EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract management and change order processes.
Collaborate with project managers, buyers, and vendors to ensure accurate PO (Purchase Order) and PR (Purchase Requisition) processing.
Maintain a strong understanding of SAP processes, especially for PR/PO creation and general ledger reporting.
