  • Position: Senior Project Cost Analyst
  • Location: Fully Remote, must be comfortable working off of CST/MST timezones
  • Duration: W2 12-month contract with continuous, long-term 12-month extensions
  • Pay Range: $60-65.50/hr
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a Project Cost Analyst role
  • Strong background in oil & gas, renewables (wind/solar), or large-scale utility projects.
  • Experience managing costs and forecasts for projects $100M+; familiarity with portfolios up to $11B.
  • Proficient in SAP (especially PR/PO and general ledger reporting), advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, and data analysis.
  • Reporting: Ability to produce accurate, timely forecasts and explain variances; experience with ad hoc reporting.
  • Understanding of EPC contract structures and change order processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Experience with wind/solar farm projects.
  • Background in construction management or similar fields.
  • Experience in large organizations with complex project portfolios.

  • An employer is looking for a Sr. Cost Analyst to join one of our top Utility clients in the Nation on their Fixed Asset team. The Senior Cost Analyst will support large-scale utility construction and renewables projects, focusing on cost controls, forecasting, and reporting. This role is critical for managing complex, high-value portfolios and ensuring accurate, timely financial analysis and reporting.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage cost controls and forecasting for 2–3 large projects (typically $100M–$3B+).
  • Prepare and deliver ad hoc and scheduled reports, including variance analysis and explanations.
  • Support EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract management and change order processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, buyers, and vendors to ensure accurate PO (Purchase Order) and PR (Purchase Requisition) processing.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of SAP processes, especially for PR/PO creation and general ledger reporting.
