- Position Summary
- The Corporate Tax Analyst will support the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, federal and state income tax returns, book-to-tax adjustments, deferred tax reconciliations, state apportionment calculations, tax account reconciliations, and tax-related research.
- This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who wants to grow within corporate tax. Candidates coming from public accounting, corporate tax, tax compliance, tax provision, or general accounting with tax exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740.
- Prepare federal income tax returns, state corporate income tax returns, and related supporting workpapers.
- Prepare book-to-tax adjustments and reconcile deferred tax balances related to temporary differences.
- Reconcile tax accounts and prepare supporting computations for tax provision reporting.
- Assist with state apportionment data gathering and calculations for state income tax filings.
- Support responses to audit information requests, tax notices, and related documentation needs.
- Research federal and state tax laws and assist with tax planning or compliance matters.
- Partner with accounting, finance, and tax leadership to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Assist with tax process improvements, documentation, and special projects.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
- Perform additional tax and accounting duties as needed.
- What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Accounting degree preferred.
- 1+ years of tax, accounting, public accounting, corporate tax, or related experience preferred.
- Exposure to federal income tax, state income tax, tax compliance, tax provision, or ASC 740 is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, reconciliations, workpapers, and financial reporting.
- Ability to research tax issues and apply findings to practical business situations.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and stay organized during busy reporting periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with accounting and finance teams.
- CPA, CPA eligibility, Master’s in Tax, or MBA is a plus, but not required.
- Limited domestic travel may be required.
