Position Summary
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting and overseeing affordable housing compliance operations across the organization's portfolio. This position serves as a subject matter expert and provides oversight of certification reviews, regulatory reporting, audit preparation and response, compliance monitoring, and agency submissions. The Senior Compliance Analyst works closely with Compliance Specialists, Property Management, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local affordable housing requirements.
This position is responsible for monitoring key compliance performance indicators, identifying areas of risk, recommending corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Compliance Analyst also serves as a lead resource for special projects, regulatory reporting, occupancy matters, and agency compliance requirements.

Oversee and review initial certifications, move-in approvals, and other occupancy-related compliance determinations. Monitor portfolio compliance performance through the development, tracking, and reporting of monthly key performance indicators (KPIs). Review KPI reporting submitted by Compliance Specialists and analyze trends, deficiencies, and areas requiring corrective action. Provide oversight of HUD TRACS submissions, reporting, and compliance-related corrections. Coordinate and oversee Special Claims processing, repayment agreements, and related agency requirements. Administer and oversee the reasonable accommodation process to ensure compliance with Fair Housing and applicable program requirements. Prepare, review, and submit required agency reports, certifications, and compliance data on a quarterly, annual, and as-needed basis. Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure timely completion of certifications, reporting requirements, and agency responses. Identify compliance risks and partner with operational teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements. Assist with policy development, procedure updates, training initiatives, and implementation of regulatory changes. Support portfolio-wide special projects, acquisitions, resyndications, file corrections, data clean-up efforts, and compliance initiatives. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory retention requirements. Provide guidance and technical support to site staff and Compliance Specialists regarding eligibility determinations, occupancy requirements, and regulatory compliance. Perform file reviews and compliance monitoring activities as needed to support departmental objectives.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office and 2 days remote; With required quarterly travel to assigned portfolio. Additional travel is required as needed.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5-7 progressive years of affordable housing compliance experience.
Working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, PBRA, HOME, and other affordable housing programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of affordable housing regulations, occupancy requirements, income and asset eligibility determinations, Fair Housing, and Regulatory Compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify compliance risks, interpret complex regulation, and recommend practical solutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and special projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with property management and compliance software platforms.
Ability to interpret regulations and communicate requirements effectively.
Professional certifications such as COS, TCS, or equivalent preferred.
