A structured Compliance Analyst is critical to the success of the River Cree Resort & Casino. The role assists the Compliance Supervisor and Director of Surveillance/ Compliance in running all the compliance programs of the resort.

Reporting to the Director of Surveillance and Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will work with all operational staff to ensure compliance for all portions of the resorts policies and regulatory obligations. Also participate in all compliance reporting to the operational departments, up and including board level.

  • Escalate all identified non-compliance for further review/approval to Director of Surveillance/Compliance
  • Have an active participation role in the reconciliation of cash related variances
  • Escalate risk management concerns to the Compliance Supervisor
  • Conduct audits on multiple revenue areas of the resort as needed
  • Assist Compliance Supervisor with Insurance related matters
  • Follow up with Resort Vendors that all contacts meet Compliance standards
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of Gaming Operations an asset
  • Previous audit experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Environment Canada, Revenue Canada would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of AGLC Terms and Conditions, Liquor Handbook, Retail Handbook would be an asset
  • Communication Skills Must be adept in reading, writing and comprehension of the English language.
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office and be able to use multiple types of computer programs

  • Successful candidate should have strong computer skills and be detail orientated.
  • The candidate must be able to hold a registered gaming worker license as set out in the AGLCs Terms & Conditions.
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and AGLC personnel.

This position is to report to work five (5) day per week and if required, may be instructed to work additional time due to any special events that may be occurring at River Cree Resort & Casino.
