  • Job Summary
  • The Compensation Analyst II supports the design, administration, analysis, and communication of the organization's compensation programs. This role is responsible for conducting market pricing, maintaining job evaluations, analyzing compensation data, supporting annual compensation planning processes, and ensuring compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Compensation Analyst partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide insight and recommendations that support talent attraction, retention, and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Analysis & Administration
  • Conduct market pricing analyses using salary survey data and industry benchmarks.
  • Evaluate jobs and determine appropriate compensation levels based on internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Analyze compensation trends and provide recommendations for base pay, incentive pay, and total rewards programs.
  • Support the administration of compensation structures, salary grades, pay ranges, and job classifications.
  • Monitor employee compensation to identify equity, compression, and market alignment concerns.
  • Annual Compensation Processes
  • Support annual merit and bonus planning cycles.
  • Validate compensation recommendations and ensure compliance with compensation guidelines and budgets.
  • Prepare compensation models, reports, and analytics for HR and business leaders.
  • Assist in developing compensation planning materials and manager communications.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation, human resources, finance, analytics, or related field required.
  • Experience working with compensation surveys and market-pricing methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and preparing compensation reports.
  • Experience supporting annual compensation planning cycles.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and salary survey practices.
  • Understanding of compensation regulations and pay equity concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present recommendations clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and customer-service orientation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field required.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain compensation dashboards, reports, and workforce data analyses.
  • Analyze compensation metrics and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership and HR partners.
  • Perform regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support pay equity analyses and compensation audits.
  • Maintain documentation related to compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external compensation reporting requirements.

  • This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, operate a computer and office equipment, communicate effectively, and occasionally move items up to 20 pounds.
