An established financial services firm in Manhattan is seeking a Sr. Compensation Analyst to join their team. Must have at least 5-8 years of strong reporting, Excel and data analytics skills, with experience in Python a huge plus. Need financial services industry experience

  • $150-180K base + bonus
  • Hybrid schedule, 4 days onsite, 1 remote
  • Hours: 9-5

Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization's compensation department, ensuring seamless operations and data-driven decision-making
  • Build and maintain complex models to evaluate the competitiveness of the firm's global compensation programs
  • Oversee global market benchmarking and trends
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to HRBPs and stakeholders
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools to manage and analyze compensation-related data
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to address compensation requests and reporting needs
  • Contribute to workforce planning, bonus accruals, and headcount management through accurate data reporting
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple HR systems and platforms
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data definitions, methodologies, and reporting pipelines
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in compensation analytics
  • Extract, clean, and aggregate data from HR systems to create dashboards and reports
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage requests related to bonus accruals, headcount, and compensation adjustments
  • Utilize Excel, SQL, and Python for advanced data analysis and reporting
  • Lead analytics projects to inform workforce planning and retention strategies
  • Maintain documentation for analytical processes and methodologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in HR analytics and compensation, ideally out of financial services
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis
  • Proven hands-on experience with Workday HRIS
  • Experience using financial services market databases (i.e. Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of global reward structures, including bonus pools and complex equity reward mechanics
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences
