Clinical Business Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Business Analyst to support the day-to-day financial and operational management of a grant-funded healthcare program. This role is responsible for grant budget analysis, expense monitoring, financial reporting, compliance oversight, and collaboration with internal teams and external grant recipients to ensure accurate financial management and successful program execution.

• Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze grant budgets, expense reports, invoices, and reimbursement requests.
• Track grant expenditures and ensure timely and accurate utilization of awarded funds.
• Prepare financial reports, budget modifications, expenditure summaries, forecasts, and grant close-out documentation.
• Review progress reports and ensure compliance with grant requirements and financial policies.
• Perform account reconciliations and verify budget accuracy for grant recipients.
• Serve as a liaison between finance teams, program managers, and grant recipients to facilitate communication and reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive grant documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Utilize PeopleSoft to manage purchase orders and procurement activities.
• Provide technical guidance and training to grant recipients as needed.
• Generate and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Science, Arts, or a related field required.
• Minimum two (2) years of Clinical Business Analyst experience required.
• Experience with the grant application and grant management process required.
• Strong knowledge of budget creation, financial analysis, forecasting, and budget modifications.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HR and Procurement required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in healthcare, grant-funded programs, or financial operations is highly preferred.

Important Details:

• 8-week contract position (possible extensions)
• Shift is 7 hrs/day Mon - Fri between (9:00 AM-5:00 PM), 35 hrs/week
• Location is New York, NY 10016
• Pay Rate for Locals: $51- $56 Hourly
• Local candidates are mostly preferred
