Clinical Aesthetician Analyst

• Position Title: Clinical Aesthetician Analyst II
• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (5 days/week)
• Location: Irvine, CA (92612)
• Contract Duration: 12 Months (Initial contract with opportunity for extension based on performance and budget)
• Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday (Regular business hours ~8:00/9:00 AM – 4:30/5:30 PM)

• Position Overview
• The Clinical Aesthetician Analyst II plays a key role within the Skincare Clinical Research & Innovation Center, acting as a direct study investigator/site personnel. This position involves direct interaction with research study participants, evaluating skin conditions, administering cosmetic/aesthetic procedures, and capturing reliable clinical data. The role combines hands-on aesthetic expertise with clinical research protocols to support advanced skincare products and innovation studies.

• Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Tasks
• Participant Evaluation & Care:
• Conduct in-person appointments with clinical research participants from the general public.
• Perform clinical skincare evaluations, skin grading, and assessments for conditions such as pigmentation, photo-damage, texture, and general skin health.
• Administer cosmetic and aesthetic procedures following precise skincare and clinical research protocols.
• Instrumentation & Technology Execution:
• Utilize clinical imaging equipment (e.g., VISIA camera systems) and objective skin measurement devices/probes (e.g., Corneometer, Cutometer, spectrophotometers).
• Export, organize, and analyze clinical study images and instrument data.
• Clinical Research & Documentation:
• Create and maintain accurate participant charts, Source Documents, and research forms following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and documentation standards.
• Execute clinical study protocols reliably and function as on-site clinical research study staff.
• Support data management tasks including data entry, quality control (QC), data analysis, and compiling summary graphs/reports for review.
• Safety & Operations:
• Document and report adverse events (AEs) according to established clinical study protocols (dedicated pharmacovigilance teams handle escalated safety, but initial site-level reporting is required).
• Assist in participant recruitment activities.
• Maintain clinical research product inventory, equipment, and instrumentation calibration standards.
• Help author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clinical treatment protocols for new and existing skincare products.

• Must-Have Qualifications & Requirements
• License: Must possess an active California Aesthetician License (or higher state-approved license). Please include license details/number on the resume for verification.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required (Science field preferred). Associates degrees alone will not meet the requirement.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a licensed aesthetician working directly with skin and client assessments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general comfort learning new technology/software.

• High attention to detail, strong organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
• Work Onsite: 100% comfort and commitment to working on-site 5 days a week.

• Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications
• Prior experience in Clinical Research or academic research settings.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and protocol execution.
• Familiarity with clinical imaging technology (e.g., VISIA systems) and skin measurement probes (e.g., Corneometer, Cutometer, spectrophotometers).
• Experience working in or supporting professional skincare, aesthetic practices, medical spas, luxury spas, dermatology clinics, or major skincare brands (e.g., DiamondGlow, Hydrafacial, or similar medical-grade skincare lines).

• Working Environment & Structure
• Setting: A hybrid balance of group and individual responsibilities within a state-of-the-art research facility.
• Daily Flow: Direct interaction with study participants during scheduled appointment hours; remaining time spent on data entry, chart documentation, inventory management, and study preparation.
• Team Dynamic: Collaborates with a multidisciplinary research team to design study documentation while working independently to conduct participant appointments and manage administrative tasks.
